Privacy Policy

We keep this simple. Here is what we collect when you visit our website or join our list, why we collect it, and how to reach us about it.

What we collect

When you join our list, we collect what you type into the form. That is your first name and email address. On our home page you can also add a mailing address if you'd like to hear from us by mail. On our Founders Weekend page you can also tell us whether you're interested in art, camping or both, and leave a question or note. Those extras are always optional.

When you visit our website, a few tools collect information about the visit automatically. That includes the pages you look at, the kind of device and browser you use, your general location based on your internet connection, how you found us, and whether you joined our list. This information comes from cookies and similar technology, explained below.

How we use it

We do not sell your personal information.

Cookies and the tools we use

Google Analytics helps us count visits and see which pages people use. You can opt out with Google's browser add-on, and you can read Google's privacy policy.

The Meta Pixel tells Meta, the company behind Facebook and Instagram, when someone visits our pages or joins our list. That helps us measure our ads and show them to the right people. You can manage how Meta uses this information in your Facebook ad preferences, and read Meta's privacy policy.

Microsoft Clarity shows us how people use our pages, such as where they click and how far they scroll, through heatmaps and recordings of visits. It hides what you type into our forms. You can read Microsoft's privacy statement.

You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Our website will still work.

Who else handles your information

Our website is hosted by Netlify, which stores the forms you send us. We read and answer them through our Google email. Google, Meta and Microsoft receive the visit information described above. Each of these companies handles information under its own privacy policy.

If you book a stay through Hipcamp or Airbnb, your booking is handled by that platform under its own privacy policy.

Your choices

You can ask us to take you off our list, or to delete or correct anything you've sent us, at any time. Just email info@cedarstoneandclay.com and we'll take care of it.

Children

Cedar, Stone & Clay is a retreat for adults. Our website is not meant for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.

Changes and questions

If we change how we handle your information, we'll update this page and the date at the top. Questions are always welcome at info@cedarstoneandclay.com.
